Group Details

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have understood your neurodivergence for many years, this group is designed to provide practical support in a neuroaffirming environment.

• Online

• Small group (6-10 people)

• Weekly sessions

• 90 minutes duration

• Approximately 6-8 weeks

• Facilitated by a registered psychologist

• Suitable for adults (17+)

• Suitable for Autistic and/or ADHD adults. Self identification welcome. 

• If you already have a Mental Health Care Plan, you may be able to use your available group therapy sessions to reduce your out of pocket costs

The therapeutic approach

​​This online therapy group combines practical strategies with neuroaffirming psychological support, using an adapted approach of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

While DBT was originally developed for different clinical presentations, many of its skills are incredibly helpful for neurodivergent adults when adapted in a neuroaffirming way.

Can I join the group if I already have an individual therapist?

Yes! 

Rather than replacing individual therapy, group therapy can often complement it.

A group can provide opportunities to learn new concepts, develop practical skills and connect with others, while individual sessions allow you to explore your own experiences in greater depth and apply what you've learned to your personal circumstances.
